Here are the commercial wind-power projects before the Ohio Power Siting Board: 1. Buckeye Wind Project, 70 turbines, Champaign County, 9,000 acres, capacity between 140 and 150 megawatts, depending on final turbine design. Being developed by Buckeye Wind LLC, subsidiary of EverPower Wind Holdings. Construction could begin in mid-2010, with system working by mid-2011. In 2007, project won a state development grant of up to $3 million for electricity produced. 2. Black Fork Wind Project, 112 turbines, Richland and Crawford counties, 25,000 acres, capacity of 201.6 megawatts. Being developed by Black Fork Wind LLC. Construction could begin in July. 3. Hardin Wind Farm, 200 turbines, Hardin County, 20,000 acres, capacity 300 megawatts. Being developed by Hardin Wind Energy LLC, an affiliate of Invenergy. Construction to begin in late 2010. 4. Hardin County North Wind Farm, up to 27 turbines, Hardin County, 3,400 acres, capacity of about 48.3 megawatts. Being developed by JW Great Lakes Wind LLC, a subsidiary of German company juwi GmbH. Construction is to begin in late 2010 and system should be operating in third quarter of 2011. In 2007, project won a state development grant of up to $2 million for electricity produced. 5. Blue Creek Wind Farm, 175 turbines, Van Wert and Paulding counties, 15,000 acres, capacity up to 350 megawatts. Timber Road Wind farm, 23 to 27 turbines, Paulding County, 5,700 acres, capacity of 48.6 megawatts. Being developed by Paulding Wind Farm LLC, a subsidiary of Texas-based Horizon Wind Energy LLC.
